For all of you looking to create your own iPhone, Blackberry, or Pre cake, here is a fast and simple fondant recipe that will help you get started. We used it on our exclusive Google Chrome cake and it turned out great!
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, stir together the shortening and corn syrup. Mix in the salt and vanilla flavoring, then gradually mix in the confectioners’ sugar until it is a stiff dough. If you are using a stand mixer, use the dough hook attachment. Otherwise, knead by hand. If the dough is sticky, knead in more confectioners’ sugar until it is smooth. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
2. To use, roll out on a clean surface that has been dusted with confectioners’ sugar until it is 1/8 inch thick or thinner if you can. Drape over frosted and chilled cakes and smooth the sides down, or cut into strips to make bows and other decorations.

Wow. This Wall-E cake is amazing! The attention to detail is outstanding, and it makes dirt look tasty. Not many cakes can pull that off! This was found on flickr user donbuciak photostream. The cake was made by the Holiday Market Bakery in Canton, MI. From the looks of their Flickr Group they can pull off some outstanding cakes, so if your from Canton or surrounding areas give them a call!

Windows Vista Magazine celebrated the one year birthday of Vista with this custom designed cake. As with many of the cakes featured here, it wasn’t long before it was gone:
Within about 30 seconds of setting eyes on it, we devoured it.
